Review
Another single-panel effort, though this one isn’t designed to be funny. Instead, it’s an introduction to the many and various Badniks Robotnik employs to fight Sonic and the Freedom Fighters. The Badniks pictured are pretty well cut-and-pasted from stock art of the characters from the video games and, unfortunately, the majority of them have at least one colouring error. Sadly, there are also a few omissions, including most notably Buzz Bomber despite its appearance in the lead strip (to say nothing of its redesign for the comic) but we get the first appearance of Splats, some 25 years before it would actually appear in a game, which is a nice bit of fun. This isn’t really a story but it’s a nice little thing all the same.

| It’s nice to have a look at the extended bad guy cast. | Most of the Badniks are coloured incorrectly. |
| THE VERDICT | RANK |
| More of a pin-up than a story, this is a fun feature spotlighting the video games’ villains. | ![]() Given this is a single-panel pin-up, we don’t think it fair to give it a regular rating. |
