Preservation

The items below are tasks which this site will strive to achieve in the name of preserving Sonic media which is becoming increasingly difficult to source. This will be done primarily by using digital formats.

Translate and host manga: We intend to host newly localised versions of manga which have been given dry, direct translations in the past.
Translate and host BD: As with the manga, but for the French comics.
Record, edit and host audiobooks: The older Sonic novels are not particularly easy to come by any more, having long gone out of print and having been published by companies who long since lost the license (some of whom no longer exist!). We intend to record audiobook versions of these classic adventures.
Work out, record, edit and host gamebooks: As with the planned audiobook versions of the novels, we intend to create similar audiobooks of the Adventure Gamebooks. To this end, we aim to map out the books, work out which is the “best” path through the game for the most enjoyable version of the story, re-edit them into a prose story and record them as audiobooks. We may also host the prose stories themselves.
Create and host interactive versions of game books: Hopefully self-explanatory. The Adventure Gamebooks are not readily available these days and we think it’s a shame to lose them. We’ll be using modern software to make playable versions of these games.
Re-scan damaged/low-quality Sonic the Comic covers: Self explanatory. Some of these scans are very old and some of the covers aren’t great, with visible damage and even free gifts being scanned.
