In 2016, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, a series of one- or two-page manga adventures were published on the Sonic Channel website. Eventually, these adventures would be translated into English and made available in physical form as part of special toy packs.

Each individual story places the focus on a different member of the Sonic regular cast (with the final story featuring a cast ensemble). Effectively, the collected stories give an overview of the main characters of Sonic’s world. Even now, there have been very few major additions to the Sonic cast, meaning they remain an effectively complete introduction to the most important characters.

In addition to referencing minor characters not regularly seen in the Sonic video games, this continuity was actually the first time Sticks the Badger appeared outside of the Sonic Boom continuity (excluding, naturally, her crossover appearances in the main Archie Comic continuity). On the whole, the comics are largely in keeping with the video games, but there are enough minor differences in character to differentiate them into their own minor continuity.

NB: The table below lists each story by their Japanese release date. The English versions in the toy packs separated the stories depending on whether the characters depicted were (broadly speaking) friends or rivals of Sonic’s, resulting in them being in a very different order.
