Review
Something the earliest issues of Archie Comics’ Sonic the Hedgehog comic would include are strips with smaller page counts, sometimes as few as one page or even, as is the case here, a single panel. These shorter strips are decent enough for quick little gags but there’s really nothing to write home about in most of them. So it is with this first single-panel gag entry. The “family tree” pun is actually probably stronger than Sonic’s punchline but since the entire thing consists of a sole panel and two word balloons, it’s impossible to be mad about it. Nothing special, but nothing terrible either!

| Decently chuckle-worthy. | There’s not much in the way of substance. |
| THE VERDICT | RANK |
| If you like tree puns, this is a two-for-one. There’s really nothing else to say here! | ![]() Given this is a single-panel gag, we don’t think it fair to give it a regular rating. |
